The need

Why we are building

Concrete reasons, not vague ones. Here is what the homes can no longer hold and what a meeting hall would enable.

We have outgrown the homes

For nearly ten years the church has met in the homes of the saints. We now consistently have 60 adults and 30 children on the Lord's Day — beyond what any home can hold.

A proper place for children and young people

Dedicated children's meeting rooms, safe gathering space, and room for ministry to nearby universities (Old Dominion, Norfolk State, William & Mary).

A center for blending and hosting

Beyond local use, we desire to offer this property as a place for blending with saints in nearby churches and for regional gatherings.

Room for the Lord's continued increase

By the Lord's grace the church has more than doubled in the last five years. We need a meeting place that can serve the Lord's ongoing work in this region.

The Lord's provision

In April 2025, a parcel of land of 1.7 acres at 5263 Greenwich Road became available for sale. The location is central and within reasonable driving distance for local saints and the nearby locality. It is located right off Interstate 64 and Interstate 264, and right across the lake from the saints' homes in which the church has been meeting.

The land overlooks Kemps Lake on the south, which the city is taking great care to restore and protect — both a tranquil location and a refreshing view of God's creation. We feel that this land is a provision from the Lord for the building of our own meeting hall for His growing and building the church for His shining testimony in our region.

Carry this with us
